1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate and creates maps of rooms and floors.
When I tried the S1, it was able to locate our downstairs, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, plus carpeting with a medium-pile and an area rug. It was able to drive close to walls and even across raised thresholds without any problems. However it was a bit difficult getting down the stairs in one pass. The S1 did a good job cleaning hard floors. Its mop drove smoothly on its flat side and swung up when it came to carpets or rug.
After every mopping session, the docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills the water tank onboard with clean ozonated filtered water. The dock also adds a cleaning solution to the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1's tank of water holds enough water for around a dozen cleaning sessions before it needs to be emptied, though this can vary based on how much you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires periodic maintenance to ensure that it's operating well. You'll need to periodically rinse out the dirty tank to avoid it becoming clogged. You'll also need to clean the swivel wheels and sensors regularly to prevent them from getting clogged by dirt or dust. Overall the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-one robotic mop and vacuum combo from Ecovacs is a reliable option for cleaning requirements. Its robot vacuum has 8,700Pa suction power and comes with a number unique features, including voice control and smart path planning that cleans around furniture and eliminates obstacles. The mopping capabilities of the robot are impressive, with mops that rotate that actually lift and scrub the floor, as opposed to just moving the pad across it. The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station as needed.
The robot is simple to setup and use, with a simple interface that guides you through the procedure. It comes with a rechargeable hand vacuum for those areas that the robot can't reach and two water tanks that are automatically empty and filled whenever required. It comes with a range of useful settings that allow you to fine tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a great vacuum cleaner. It has a powerful suction that is able to effortlessly remove dirt and other debris that other robots have difficulty with. Its navigation capabilities are pretty good, although it could get stuck on small area mats and rugs around my home (which you can mitigate by defining virtual boundaries in the app). Its mopping capabilities are also quite good, with a pair spinning mop pads that are able to lift and scrub floors, rather than just drag the pad across it. The mops can be cleaned with heated water, and dried in the base station whenever needed. Mops can also be refilled at the top of the station if they are required.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year, but their new flagship model of robot mop and vacuum has more impressive features. It offers outstanding cleaning results and hands-off maintenance which makes it a strong contender for our best mop and robot vacuum list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart detection and an extended side brush ensure a thorough, customized clean is achieved.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, removing both fine and large debris. It is equally effective on carpets and hard floors. It also cleaned our test's most filthy areas well, and keeping pet hairs from getting caught in knots and other mess. The sweeping capabilities are augmented by an additional side brush that automatically extends to reach hard-to-reach corners, and an extendable mop pad that can be placed alongside baseboards.
Its navigation system is intelligent it can navigate narrow spaces and climbing the stairs without a hitch. It can move from one area to another without reversing direction, which is a handy feature for larger homes with several rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is not as advanced than some competitors, and leaves a huge margin around obstacles. This could lead to miss-hit spots.
The interface of the app is easy to use and easy to use. It should be easy to use for novice and experienced users. The app allows you to schedule and manage cleaning tasks. You can also adjust suction power, mop settings, and look up 3-D and 2-D maps. It can be operated via the app, Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri, allowing you to monitor its progress from anywhere. It has a smart app which allows you to schedule cleanings and determine the floor type. It also comes with an automatic water tank filling system and washing system for hands-free operation.
Its mops also impress with their 2700Pa power to take on pet hair and dirt on carpets as well as hard flooring. The Q5 was one of the few robots that we tested to not have issues with high-pile carpets and rugs. However, it could not handle kitty litter or cable tangles. This isn't a surprise, since it does NOT have AI-powered obstacle-avoidance features.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robotic vacuum we've ever tested. It also features a unique mapping system that helps it reach corners and tight places that other vacuums cannot. This device also stores dust in a bigger dustbin which means you have to empty it less often. automated vacuum has washable filters which further reduces costs. The robot is also able to detect carpets and increase suction when needed. The app also allows you to mark areas you want to avoid and is a great feature.
